She is a graduate of Kent State University's School of Library and Information Science and the National Archives Modern Archives Institute. Judy retired from the Akron-Summit County Public Library after serving for more than thirty-five years as a reference librarian and manager of Special Collections, the library's local history and genealogy department. Her love of local history, family history and food was the inspiration for this book.
