This led him to become an instructor at the Royal Air Force Police Dog Training Centre during his National Service, and in 1956 he began teaching at the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. He migrated with his family to Australia in 1967 to continue his work with the Royal Guide Dogs of Australia. Eight years later, he set up his own dog training school in Melbourne. His expertise is sought far and wide and, in recent years, he has given successful seminars at many dog-training establishments overseas, including those in the United States and West Indies.
