The recipient of fellowships and awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, New York Foundation for the Arts, and Poetry Society of America, his work has appeared in \u003ci\u003eAmerican Poetry Review\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eBOMB\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eBoston Review\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eConjunctions\u003c\/i\u003e, and elsewhere. He holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers' Workshop and an MA in international environmental policy from Tufts University.
