Two ways to inspect your surroundings
- RF scanning: Look for nearby radio-frequency activity that may warrant closer inspection. A signal alert alone does not identify a hidden camera or recording device.
- Camera-lens finder: Inspect suspicious areas for lens reflections. This offers a visual inspection method separate from RF scanning; results depend on the lens being visible and the inspection conditions.
- Adjustable sensitivity: Adjust sensitivity as you investigate signal activity, following the device instructions.
For travel and everyday privacy awareness
When you arrive in an unfamiliar room, take time to inspect your surroundings and use each detection mode according to the supplied instructions. Investigate alerts carefully rather than assuming every signal or reflection indicates surveillance.
Know the limitations
Detection depends on device activity, distance, obstructions, surrounding signals, and how the detector is used. RF scanning cannot establish the absence of non-transmitting devices, and a lens finder cannot reveal every concealed camera. A negative scan is not proof that a room is safe or free of recording equipment.
